Honestly….amazing! Everything is clear and perfectly explained and so enjoyable to read. It makes me want to eat it and most of all cook it. I can’t wait for the book! It’s exactly what I need when I cook anything new. The video tutorial is perfect. Thank you!!!
I want to know about your olive oil choices. Who do you like for cooking? For finishing/featuring? A buttery fave? A spicy fave? Tell me everything! Also want to know how you make perfect steaks
Hi Mallory!! My go-to good enough olive oil is the California Olive Ranch olive oil. I think it works well for cooking and it's a good, inoffensive oil for salad dressings or garnishes if you don't want to splurge on anything fancier. For roasting veg or cooking I will also often use a basic extra virgin olive oil from trader joes, which saves you like $10 per quart. For finishing I usually mix it up and buy new ones but these are always good and easy to find-
How to make a perfect steak! OK big question lol. Most importantly is having an instant read thermometer so you can cook to the perfect temperature. I usually go for 120-122 for medium rare, as it will cary over as it rests.
I love the method of flipping a steak every 15-30 seconds until it reaches your desired internal temperature. It cooks evenly, more quickly, and you get an amazing sear in a home kitchen.
Super excited
To be on your list. Can’t wait to watch and read!!! Happy Passover!
Thank you Shawna! Happy Passover!

Another great method is the reverse sear - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pO8TUuSv7HA
